- The public prompt you view, your verdict, any comment or report text or reason, and timestamps when you use those features.
- A random browser identifier stored locally, combined server-side with request information and a private salt to create a one-way voter or session hash. The raw browser identifier is not published.
- Basic product events such as visible interaction, case view, verdict steps, result reveal, share action, and acquisition parameters.
- Optional PostHog page-entry and page-leave events, including the page path, referrer, visit duration, and scroll/content summary. UR WRONG disables click and form autocapture, session replay, and person-profile creation for these events.
- Standard request metadata processed by our hosting and infrastructure providers for delivery, security, and operational logs.
How information is used
We use this information to prevent duplicate voting, keep private invites separate from public cases, aggregate jury results, measure whether real people can use the product, investigate abuse reports, secure the service, and improve navigation and case quality.
Browser storage
The app uses local storage and session storage for participation, local progress and QA exclusion. These controls do not create a public profile. The noindex Decision Brief transfer page only offers to export an older local draft; it does not upload, publish or load it automatically. PostHog uses a separate anonymous tab-session identifier, not your participation identity. Amplitude creates a separate random per-product browser identifier only after its two optional choices; the transmitted identifier is hashed and scoped to UR WRONG and the release environment. It is unrelated to your participation identity. Clearing browser storage resets local progress and may remove the identifier needed to locate older analytics records; retain it privately if you want to request deletion.
Optional PostHog measurement
Our optional PostHog integration counts page visits, time spent and allowlisted successful actions. It sends sanitized site paths, four campaign fields, referrer origin/path and bounded interaction summaries, never private invite parameters, arguments, vote choices or license keys. Click/form autocapture, session replay, heatmaps, surveys and person-profile creation are disabled. Choose PostHog separately through the debate page’s Optional analytics control; your old PostHog choice does not authorize Amplitude.
Optional Amplitude analytics and United States transfer
Neo Genesis uses Amplitude, Inc., privacy@amplitude.com, in the United States (Web project 872967’s default data center). The purpose is usage statistics—arrivals, first useful actions, saved records, sharing and return visits—service improvement and advertising measurement; we do not sell this data. Collected items are a pseudonymous per-product identifier, allowlisted event names, timestamps, app version and bounded campaign fields. The governed SDK sends IP 0.0.0.0, disables IP/location enrichment and does not send arguments, vote choices, names, email, phone, license keys or participation identities. Automatic tracking and session replay are off.
No automatic expiry is configured. Analytics records are kept until deletion is requested; a future retention change will be reflected here. Optional analytics and the transfer to Amplitude in the United States require separate choices below. Refusing either keeps Amplitude off and does not restrict free debates. Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track prevents collection. Withdrawing stops new and queued uploads immediately; a request already sent cannot be recalled.
Request deletion
Use “Show my deletion identifier” below to look up this browser’s existing product-scoped identifier without creating one. Email it privately to urwrong@neogenesis.app. Possession of this identifier authenticates the request; no identity document or additional personal information is required. Keep it private and do not post it publicly. Neo Genesis’s web operator submits the project-scoped request and checks provider status. Within 10 days of receiving your request we submit the deletion to Amplitude and tell you; Amplitude completes it within 30 days of submission. This browser’s withdrawal control stops collection but does not itself submit or complete a provider deletion.
Public and private participation information
Public pages contain reviewed editorial prompts. Approved visitor arguments may be shown on debate pages; pending arguments remain visible only to the submitting browser and moderators. The suggestion form saves a draft on this browser only; it does not upload or publish the text. Do not submit real names, contact details, or sensitive facts.
Advertising
UR WRONG does not currently claim that advertising is active. If Google AdSense or another advertising service is enabled, third-party vendors may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads, subject to their policies and any consent controls required for the visitor’s location. This policy and the live consent behavior will be updated before activation. Google explains advertising data use at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
Service providers and retention
We use infrastructure providers to host the site, database, and operational analytics. Data is retained only as long as reasonably needed for the product, security, dispute handling, legal obligations, and aggregate measurement. Access is limited to operators and providers that need it for those purposes.
Your choices
You can avoid entering a suggestion, decline to vote, turn off optional page measurement above, clear browser storage, or ask a privacy question at urwrong@neogenesis.app. Include the relevant case link if your request concerns public content; do not send secrets or identity documents by email unless requested through a secure process.
